Burns put up double figures in kills in back-to-back outings to take home NEC Rookie of the Week honors for the second time in as many weeks. The freshman outside hitter averaged 3.56 kills and added 2.22 digs per set for Saint Francis U, which split two matches last week with a four-set defeat to LIU and a five-set victory against St. Francis Brooklyn. A product of the Keystone State, Burns compiled a double-double on 12 kills and 16 digs against the Sharks before she delivered a 20-kill performance in the victory against the Terriers. Burns has now earned NEC Rookie of the Week distinction three times this year.
