Ciszek makes her return as the league’s top player after a one-week hiatus to push her NEC Player of the Week total to seven this season. That marks ties Robert Morris’ Emma Granger, who set the NEC single-season record by earning Player of the Week distinction seven times in 2019. Ciszek led Sacred Heart to a pair of straight-set victories in conference play by averaging 9.83 assists, 2.83 kills and 1.17 digs per set. After handing out 30 dimes against Merrimack on Friday, she was virtually unstoppable in Saturday’s win over Stonehill, assembling a 12-kill and 29-assist double-double. Most impressively, the California native compiled a career-high .857 hitting percentage in the latter victory. Ciszek leads the circuit in assists per set (9.11), assists (729) and total kills (170), and with just 32 miscues on the season, she is also first in hitting percentage (.379). With 21 weekly awards on her career, Ciszek has surpassed LIU’s Anna Foit, who accumulated 20 honors from 2011-14.
