Competing against America East champion UMBC and NJIT at the Highlander Invitational, Schnermann took third in the 200-yard freestyle, clocking 1:44.65, which also ranks as the third-best time in the NEC. The freshman snatched gold in the 400-yard individual medley (4:08.60) and the 500-yard freestyle (4:40.80), and he holds the fastest times in the NEC in both events. Schnermann also placed fifth in the 200-yard individual medley clocking in with the fourth-fastest time in the league this fall (1:58.42).
