Ciszek has reached uncharted territory when it comes to the NEC Player of the Week award. Earning the distinction for the eighth time, she has now set the NEC single-season record for most Player of the Week nods in a single season. In addition, with this week’s NEC Defensive Player of the Week honor, Ciszek pushes her career weekly total to 23, also a new conference record. The graduate setter had another dominant week for Sacred Heart, hitting .343 after committing just four errors in 35 attempts while averaging 10.00 assists, 2.00 kills, 2.00 digs, 1.25 blocks and 0.50 service aces per set. Ciszek came just shy of a double-double in a five-set win against Albany after dishing out 50 dimes and nine kills while adding a season-best six blocks. Later in the week, the San Juan Capistrano, CA native put up 30 assists, nine digs and seven kills in a sweep of Central Connecticut. Ciszek leads the NEC in assists (809), assists per set (9.19), hitting percentage (.376) and kills (186), while her 36 errors are the fewest committed amongst all players with 100-plus kills.
