Stanzani made a splash in his first career start at Duquesne. The Clearwater, FL native helped LIU win its first game of the season after connecting on a two-point conversion pass to junior wide receiver in double overtime. The rookie completed 22 of 27 passes for 346 yards and four touchdowns and was intercepted just one time for a 60.0 pass completion percentage. In addition, Stanzani carried the ball seven times for 34 yards and one touchdown. He is the first Shark this season to garner NEC Rookie of the Week honors.
