Ciszek adds another NEC Player of the Week honor to her record-breaking season to push her total to nine. The graduate setter put up impressive numbers once again and played a key part in extending Sacred Heart’s winning streak to eight and nine matches with a pair of NEC victories. Ciszek delivered her fifth triple-double of the season on Friday after recording 41 assists, 17 digs and 12 kills in the Pioneers’ 3-2 win against LIU. With that performance, she now ranks fifth in NCAA Division I in the category. Ciszek was just as impressive on Saturday, registering 36 assists and 13 digs in a sweep of St. Francis Brooklyn. On the week, the California product averaged 9.63 assists, 2.13 kills and 3.75 digs per set to help Sacred Heart maintain its first-place status. Hitting a league-best .373 this season, Ciszek also leads the conference in kills (203), assists (886) and assists per set (9.23). With her nine NEC Player of the Week honors and one Defensive Player of the Week accolade this year, she has shattered the conference’s record with 24 career weekly awards.
