Smith makes it back-to-back NEC Rookie of the Week honors after averaging 3.40 kills per set in LIU’s 2-0 weekend. The outside hitter delivered five blocks and posted a .458 hitting percentage on 11 kills and zero errors in 24 total attempts in a sweep of Stonehill. On Saturday, Smith helped lead the Sharks to their third straight sweep, and their fourth in the past five matches, against Merrimack after recording six kills and a pair of blocks in two sets of work. The Castle Rock, CO native has made a splash in her debut campaign, as she closed out conference play ranked fifth in the NEC in kills per set (2.95). Smith has tallied four NEC Rookie of the Week honors this season.
