Persichetty led the offensive attack for SFU last week as the Red Flash posted a 2-0 record. The Staten Island, NY native tallied five points with two goals and one assist in SFU's 5-0 victory against Delaware State. Persichetty's first strike came off a corner kick in the sixth minute as she headed in a perfectly placed cross from Lauren Pyle. The junior jumpstarted the Red Flash's second half scoring effort as she intercepted a pass from the Hornets to help Tomke Dziesiaty set up Claire Miko's goal (50') that gave SFU a 3-0 lead. In the 73rd minute, Rita Kendziora served Persichetty a ball in the six-yard box for an easy score. In SFU's 2-0 victory at Stonehill on Sunday, Persichetty fired a cross just outside the right corner that found Kendziora in the middle of the box for the Red Flash's first goal (12') of the match. The junior forward/midfielder totaled six points last week as the Red Flash are off to a 2-1 start in NEC play. Her two assists marked her first of the 2023 season.
