Week 5 Stats: 1-1 FG (34 yards), 4-4 PAT
Bruzdewicz propelled the Dukes to victory in their NEC opener at LIU on Saturday afternoon. With the contest knotted up at 28-28, the veteran kicker drained a 34-yard field goal with three seconds remaining to lift Duquesne to the win, which avenged last season’s double-overtime loss to the Sharks in Pittsburgh. In addition to providing the game-ending heroics, which marked the third walk-off field goal in NEC play this season, Bruzdewicz went a perfect 4-for-4 on PATs. In four games this season, the McMurray, PA native is averaging 5.0 points per game for the Dukes. This is his first NEC Special Teams Player of the Week award this season, and the third of his career.
