Merrimack continued its unbeaten streak last week as the Warriors won their sixth straight match and improved to 5-0 in NEC play. Golden led the way for the Warriors in their two victories with four goals, including her first career hat trick against NEC foe Delaware State on Sunday. Two of Golden’s goals came in the first 10 minutes of the match to give Merrimack an early 2-0 lead. Just over 11 minutes later the junior midfielder found the back of the net for the third time against the Hornets. In Thursday’s 6-2 win over Le Moyne, Golden added an insurance goal to put the Warriors up 3-1 early in the second half. Golden’s eight points last week bumped her total to 10 on the season, which puts her at 10th in the league in scoring. She also ranks eighth in goals (four), and 10th in goals (0.33) and points per game (0.83).
