Baker made the transition to Division I look seamless this past week, and as a result, she makes Le Moyne history by becoming the first-ever player to garner a weekly award from the NEC. The Dolphins’ fifth-year guard registered double figures in scoring in each of Le Moyne’s first three Division I contests to average 15.3 points on 40.5 percent shooting from the field (15-of-37) during that stretch. A 5-foot-9 guard from Rochester, NY, Baker got her season and Division I career going with a bang against Colorado State. Registering a pair of blocks while going 2-for-3 from three to finish with 17 points, she hauled in 10 rebounds to complete the double-double. Two days later against No. 20 Colorado, a team that was riding the coat tails of a win over defending NCAA Champion LSU, Baker went 6-of-10 from the field for a season-best 18-point effort. She closed out her week by stuffing the stat sheet with 11 points, six rebounds, three assists and three steals against Stony Brook on Saturday. Baker is second in the NEC in scoring behind Saint Francis U’s Kaitlyn Maxwell (15.5 ppg), while her 6.33 rebounds per game are good for seventh in the circuit.
