Claiming his third NEC Player of the week honor of 2024, Schelb shined in a top-of-the-table battle between Saint Francis U and Le Moyne on Sunday. The sophomore midfielder tallied three points on a goal and an assist in the Red Flash’s 4-0 victory over the Dolphins. Schelb assisted on Rodrigo Mendes’ goal in the 43rd minute to give SFU a 2-0 lead. The Freibug, Germany native added a score of his own in the 85th minute to make it a 4-0 advantage. Schelb leads the conference in points (25) and points per game (1.79). His seven assists are tied for the league-lead while his nine goals rank second on the circuit. With their victory on Sunday along with various results across the league, the Red Flash clinched their spot in the 2024 NEC Tournament and can secure the top seed with a win or tie against FDU on Thursday night.
