Lanpher continues to wreak havoc on NEC defenses this season. The graduate student had yet another monstrous outing last week for Central Connecticut, which defeated second-place Stonehill on Saturday to move into a three-way tie for second in the league standings with the Skyhawks and Saint Francis U. For the eighth time this season — and the sixth-straight game — Lanpher eclipsed the 20-point mark as she led all scorers with 26 points on 43.8 percent shooting from the field (7-of-16) and a sizzling 66.7 percent clip from long range (4-of-6) in the come-from-behind win. In addition, the Princeton, MA native added three rebounds, three assists and three steals. Netting double figures in each of her 11 appearances this season, Lanpher is averaging 23.0 points per game. That mark would rank first in the NEC and sixth in the NCAA, however she does not meet the minimum for games played so far. Against conference competitors, Lanpher leads the circuit by a longshot in scoring with 23.9 points per contest. This is her third NEC/Atlantic Tomorrow’s Office Player of the Week honor this season.
