Swider put together a stellar performance in Stonehill’s lone game of the week, a 58-50 victory over visiting LIU on Saturday. The graduate center produced a double-double for the fourth-straight outing, marking the longest rally by any NEC player this season, after she dropped 20 points and pulled down 15 boards. In addition, Swider, who transferred to Stonehill from Villanova, hit the 20-point mark for the fourth time this year in efficient fashion, going 9-of-16 from the field while adding three assists, three rejections and a steal. Swider, who has registered double digits in rebounding 11 times with three games of 15-or-more boards, is tied with FDU’s Teneisia Brown for first in the conference in double-doubles with eight. In addition, she is also tied with Brown for the league lead in rebounding with 9.2 rebounds per game, while her 13.4 points per game are good for eighth overall. Those numbers have been even more impressive against conference competitors, as she is third in the circuit with 17.3 points and first by a 2.9 rebound per game margin with 11.7. This is Swider’s second NEC/Atlantic Tomorrow’s Office Co-Player of the Week honor this year.
