Behind the strength of her league-leading third 30-point outing of the season, Lanpher averaged 27.0 points to lead the Blue Devils to two pivotal NEC wins over Chicago State and Stonehill last week. The graduate student shot 47.4 percent from the field (18-of-38), including a sizzling 61.5 percent clip from behind the arc (8-of-13), and 83.3 percent from the free throw line (10-of-12) during that stretch. In addition, Lanpher stuffed the stat sheet with 5.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 3.0 steals per contest. A native of Princeton, MA, Lanpher reached triple-double territory in Thursday’s one point victory against the Cougars. Dropping 19 points, she added eight assists and seven rebounds in the 62-61 triumph. On Saturday against the Skyhawks, the guard was even more impressive. Converting on 6-of-8 three-pointers, Lanpher racked up 35 points on 57.9 percent shooting from the field to lead Central Connecticut to a regular-season sweep of Stonehill by way of an 84-68 victory. The lone player in the conference to eclipse the 30-point mark three times this season, Lanpher leads the league in scoring with 22.8 points per contest.
