Brown, who has been a double-double machine as of late, tacked on two more to her resumé to make it eight-in-a-row and a league-leading 14 this season. Averaging 16.0 points, 12.5 rebounds and 3.0 steals, the Jamaican-born baller led undefeated FDU to two more league victories in convincing fashion, including a program-best 25th victory on Saturday. With an unblemished 15-0 record, Brown and the Knights will look to become the sixth squad in NEC annals to post a perfect record during league play when they head to Le Moyne for Thursday’s regular-season finale. In 31 minutes of action, Brown tallied 11 of her 15 points in the final quarter and hauled in 10 boards to complete the double-double in a 74-57 win over Stonehill that solidified the Knights’ perfect regular season record in home games inside Bogota Savings Bank Center. On Saturday against LIU, a 73-46 win, the forward/center nearly had a double-double in the first half. Shooting 53.3 percent from the field (8-of-13), she went on to finish with 17 points and 15 rebounds, both of which were game-best numbers. Brown, who ranks 19th in the nation in double-doubles, currently owns the nation’s second-longest double-double streak. She is tied with Wright State’s Amaya Staton, while her eight-straight double-doubles are second behind Bethune-Cookman’s Asianae Nicholson, who has turned the trick in 10-consecutive games. The graduate student has been impressive all season for the Knights, who currently rank No. 24 in the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top 25. She ranks eighth in scoring with 13.7 points per game and is nearly averaging a double-double on the year with a league-leading 9.8 boards. This is Brown’s league-best sixth NEC/Atlantic Tomorrow’s Office Player of the Week honor.
