Shroyer tacked on two more wins to her count at the CSUN Champions Classic to push her record on the year to 3-2 and garner NEC Pitcher of the Week accolades for the second time in as many weeks. In one start and five appearances, the sophomore hurler allowed four runs (three earned) on 11 hits and two walks for a 1.34 ERA. During that stretch, she racked up nine strikeouts while holding the opposition to a .183 average at the plate. Shroyer earned the start inside the circle on Friday against host-team CSUN, and she rose to the occasion for the Knights. She went the distance in the nine-inning battle, and helped FDU earn the 4-3 victory, after retiring six of the final seven batters she faced. Shroyer finished with a pair of strikeouts while allowing just two earned runs on her watch. On Saturday, the sophomore from California helped FDU come out on top in a thriller against Montana. After the Grizzlies knotted up the game at 2-2 and continued to threat with two on and no outs in the bottom of the fifth, Shroyer came out of the bullpen and got the Knights out of the jam. She went on to keep Montana off the scoreboard for the final two innings to help FDU score the 6-2 triumph. On the season, Shroyer, who has fanned an NEC-best 22 batters, sports a league-leading 2.54 ERA in 30.1 innings pitched.
