In Mercyhurst’s first-ever DI series sweep, Chorba was red-hot in the batter’s box. The senior outfielder went 11-for-14 (.786) with five runs and six RBIs, while smashing three homers and adding a double in four games. Chorba scored four times and drove in five in the Lakers' weekend sweep of Maryland Eastern Shore. When Friday’s series opener went to extra innings, Chorba stepped up in the bottom of the 10th and launched a walkoff homer to give Mercyhurst the 6-5 victory. Capping off a five-run Laker comeback, Chorba walked things off again in game two as his RBI single in the bottom of the ninth clinched the 7-6 win. The North Huntingdon, PA native is third in the league in hits (35), fifth in OPS (1.102), and eighth in homers (five), hitting (.380), on-base percentage (.482) and slugging percentage (.620).
