Pitts spearheaded CCSU’s offense last week as the Blue Devils extended their winning streak to seven games. The sophomore outfielder powered CCSU with a team-high .625 average (10-for-16) while scoring nine runs and driving in seven more. Pitts compiled a 1.632 OPS for the week, fueled by three doubles and his first career homer as the Blue Devils first defeated Sacred Heart, 11-6, in a mid-week game, before sweeping conference foe Delaware State over the weekend. The Tyingsboro, MA native recorded three hits in three of CCSU’s four contests last week and is batting .364 on the season. The Blue Devils improved to NEC-best 14-1 in league play and 18-4 overall. Their overall win percentage (.818) is tied for ninth-best in DI.
