Hatton was perfect in all three matches last week with a combined 6-0 mark in singles and doubles play. The reigning NEC Player of the Year won three singles matches from the top spot in straight sets against Binghamton’s William Morais Binnie (6-3, 6-2), Lafayette’s Arman Ganchi (6-1, 6-3) and St. Bonaventure’s Connor Turner (6-2, 6-1). Hatton also paired up with NEC Rookie of the Week Callum Matthew for a trio of doubles victories on the first court against the Bearcats (7-6), Leopards (6-1) and Bonnies (6-4). The Syracuse, NY native led the Dolphins to a 5-0 shutout win over Lafayette and a 4-2 triumph against St. Bonaventure. Hatton’s regular season culminated with a 17-4 singles mark and a perfect 7-0 conference record. He also has posted a 15-1 record in dual matches, including 14 straight triumphs. Le Moyne will be the second seed in the 2025 NEC Men’s Tennis Championship and tangle with in-state rival and seventh-seeded Wagner in Thursday’s quarterfinals.
