Ross doubled her NEC Rookie of the Week count after the Friendship, NY native went the distance inside the circle to lead Le Moyne to a pair of wins this weekend against FDU. The first-year hurler was sensational during that 14-inning stretch, allowing just one earned run on nine hits and three walks in a 7-1 triumph on Friday and a 1-0 shutout on Saturday. After the Dolphins dropped an 8-0 decision in Friday’s series opener, Ross’ right arm propelled her team to consecutive victories and its first series triumph of the season. In her weekend debut, she limited the Knights to one earned run on five hits and struck out four to earn her eighth win of the season by way of a 7-1 final. Less than 24 hours later, she was even more lethal. Getting all the run support she needed in the third inning after teammate Alayna Bush crossed home on a wild pitch, Ross closed the door on FDU after throwing a four-hit shutout. With nine wins, she is tied for fifth in the NEC in the category.
