Cino’s bat wreaked havoc on Stonehill this past weekend. Crafting an outstanding .556/.583/1.889 slash line, the junior shortstop led the Blue Devils to a 2-1 weekend against the Skyhawks, a mark that also secured Central Connecticut’s spot in the upcoming NEC Tournament for the third-straight season. During that three-game stretch, Cino mashed four home runs while registering six RBI and five runs. The Garden State product was on a tear in Friday’s series opener. Cino homered in each of her three at-bats to propel her team to a thrilling 10-9 extra-inning win over the Skyhawks. Giving the Blue Devils a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the second before making it an 8-2 advantage with her second solo shot of the game, she answered Stonehill’s go-ahead homer in the top of the eighht and walked it off for Central Connecticut with a two-run bomb in the bottom half of the frame. The three home runs are the most by an NEC player in a game this season, and the second-most by an NCAA Division I slugger in 2025. Cino’s home run derby continued in Friday’s nightcap, as she launched her fourth long ball of the day in the bottom of the fourth in a 6-3 defeat. In Saturday’s series finale, she contributed an RBI and scored one run in the five-inning, a 10-1 win. Cino has gone yard six times during NEC play, a mark that is tied for tops in the league with teammate KC Machado and Saint Francis U’s Savannah Nash. The NEC Player of the Week award is the first for Cino this season.
