Sullivan was lockdown in each of her two appearances inside the circle in Stonehill’s three-game set against FDU, a team that entered the weekend in the hunt for a share of the NEC regular season title. The Arizona product hurled 12.2 innings of scoreless softball for the Skyhawks and during that span, she held the Knights to 10 hits and four walks while striking out four batters. A versatile two-way player, Sullivan shined on both sides of the ball to lead Stonehill to a thrilling 10-9 comeback win in Sunday’s nightcap. Pitching the final 2.2 frames, she allowed just one hit and one walk while in five at-bats, the sophomore launched four hits to go along with a pair of RBI and one run. Furthermore, her RBI single in the bottom of the sixth sparked a game-ending 7-0 rally that sealed the come-from-behind triumph. Earning the start on Monday, Sullivan controlled the pace and came up on the winning end of a pitcher’s duel that saw the two teams take a scoreless game into the 10th inning. She went the distance in the shutout, scattering nine hits while walking three to earn her sixth victory of the season and help Stonehill take the series with. Sullivan is tied for fifth in the NEC and leads the Skyhawks’ pitching staff with a 3.73 ERA. She is the third Stonehill hurler to garner NEC Pitcher of the Week honors this season.
