Atkins became the first NEC freshman to run it back as the NEC/Molten Rookie of the Week. The first-year right-side hitter had another solid all-around week for the Red Flash. Posting 21 kills on .286 hitting while adding 18 digs and three blocks, Atkins led the league with nine service aces in 10 sets. Beginning the week with four aces against Rutgers on Thursday, she compiled her first career double-double after tallying 12 kills and 10 digs in a three-set defeat to New Hampshire. She also hit .400 against the Wildcats. On Saturday, Atkins contributed five kills, two aces and six digs to a Saint Francis sweep of Rider. The Morristown, NJ native enters the week ranked third in the conference in service aces per set (0.44).
