Burns continued her stranglehold on the NEC/Molten Player of the Week award as she has claimed the award three times since the 2025 season began three weeks ago. In a stretch that featured matches against Rutgers, New Hampshire and Rider, the Keystone State native racked up 48 kills and 23 digs with two double-doubles in that stretch. Against the Wildcats on Friday, Burns delivered 22 kills and a dozen digs. She turned the double-double trick again two days later against Rider by racking up 16 kills and 10 digs in the straight-set triumph. The only NEC hitter to average more than five kills per contest, Burns, who is hitting .277 on the season, ranks first in the entire nation in total kills (182) and kills per set (5.35). In addition, she is 10th among league leaders in digs with 2.38 per set.
