Somerset, NJ - Quinnipiac’s historic season resulted in the Bobcats’ heavy presence on the list of All-Northeast Conference Women’s Basketball honorees.  After becoming the fourth team in NEC history to complete an undefeated run through the league’s 18-game schedule, Quinnipiac collected two major individual honors and placed one representative on each of the three All-NEC Teams.

The Bobcats’ Felicia Barron (Springfield, MA) retained the NEC Defensive Player of the Year award for the second straight season, Tricia Fabbri secured the Brenda Reilly NEC Coach of the Year honor for the third time in her career.

The other two major awards went to members of a Robert Morris team that was decimated by injury and failed to qualify for the postseason.  Statistically speaking, few have ever had a season like the one NEC Player of the Year Artemis Spanou (Rhodes, Greece) put forth.  The Greek-born forward finished the regular season as the conference leader in both scoring and rebounding.  The latter mark leads all of NCAA Division I.

Freshman guard Ashley Ravelli (Milan, Italy) joined her fellow European-born Colonial in the ring of honor. Earning the honor that Spanou did back in 2011, Ravelli claimed the NEC Rookie of the Year award.
