With the 16th fastest time in the nation (20.90 – IC4A championships), Rodney took part in Friday's national semifinals. He crossed the line with a time of 21.25, good for 13th in the nation overall, among the group of 16 runners that competed.
The top eight times move on to Saturday's finals. Rodney will earn second-team All-America honors for his performance in the national semifinals.
Up next for Rodney and his Blackbird teammates is the Hurricane Invitational on March 15-16 at the University of Miami. This will kick off the start of the outdoor track & field season.
