Lakewood, NJ - Bryant is riding high heading into its first-ever Northeast Conference Baseball Tournament.
Fresh off becoming only the second team in NEC history to post 40 wins in a single season, the Bulldogs garnered three of the league’s four major individual awards, which were given out at the annual postseason barbeque on the eve of the Tournament.
Bryant senior Kevin Brown, an outfielder-turned-third baseman, captured the NEC Player of the Year award, while freshman outfielder AJ Zarozny claimed the NEC Rookie of the Year accolade.
The Northeast Conference’s top pitching honor went to Monmouth lefty Andy McGee, who will take the mound in his home county of Ocean this weekend at Lakewood’s FirstEnergy Park.
