Somerset, NJ — The Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) announced its 2022 Academic Honors Squad and Academic Honor Roll. Five Northeast Conference (NEC) women’s lacrosse teams and 46 individuals earned IWLCA academic honors.

Howard, LIU, Merrimack, Sacred Heart and Saint Francis U received IWLCA Academic Honor Squad distinction. 

In total, the IWLCA named 326 schools across Division I, II, III and NAIA as IWLCA Academic Honors Squads for the 2021-22 academic year. To qualify for the honor, a women’s lacrosse team must have posted a 3.2 or higher team GPA for the academic year. 

LIU landed 14 IWLCA Division I Academic Honor Roll members to lead the NEC. Merrimack (10), Sacred Heart (8), Saint Francis U (8) and Howard (6) followed.

The IWLCA honored 1,013 student-athletes from 106 different institutions on the 2022 IWLCA Division I Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior or graduate student and have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or greater.
