Hackensack, NJ -- You can call them back-to-back champs now.
With a runaway 63-39 win over Saint Francis U in Hackensack coupled with a Sacred Heart setbak at St. Francis Brooklyn, FDU clinched at least a share of its second consecutive NEC women's basketball regular season crown.
The win also gave the Knights their first 20+ win season since the 1990-91, when they Knights compiled 23 games.
With two games to play, FDU can clinch the #1 seed in the upcoming NEC Tournament with one win or a Sacred Heart loss.
The Knights were led by junior
Chloe Wilson who picked up her seventh double-double of the season. Wilson netted 17 points, 11 rebounds, and four rebounds. Wilson wasn't the only Knight to have a big game against SFU, as
Sierra DeAngelo pitched in 15 points and six rebounds on an efficient 6-for-9 from the floor.
Dahomée Forgues and
Ella Fajardo gave the Knights 22 combined points with Fajardo scoring 11 off the bench.
