Ponta Vedra Beach, FL -- Howard University junior
Kendall Jackson (Pearland, Texas) won the 2024 PGA Works Collegiate Championship (PWCC) Individual Title with a 1-over par (73) performance in the final round, held at the TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.
Jackson, a two-time All-NEC First Team honoree, registered four birdies on the afternoon, including the go-ahead birdie on 17, while firing 4-over par (220) during the three-day event.
Texas A&M-Corpus Christi's (TAMCC) Lucie Charbonnier finished runner-up, one stroke behind Jackson (221, +5), followed by teammate Samantah Gibbs (225, +9).
Collectively, the Bison shot 61-over par (925) in three rounds, including 9-over par (297) in the final round.
All-NEC First Team selection junior
Morgan Horrell (Dallas) grabbed sixth overall, recording a 73 (+1) with four birdies in round three. In three days, the Dallas native posted a 228 (+12).
Fellow classmate
Marley Franklin (Los Angeles) shot 19-over par (235) in 54 holes of play, tying for 13
th in the individual leaderboard.
Reigning Northeast Conference (NEC) Rookie of the Year
Emily Mayne (Kingston, Jamaica) wrapped up her freshman campaign 3-over par (75) during the final round. Overall, she recorded 27-over par (243) in the event.
TAMCC won the 2024 PWCC team title by five strokes over HU, recording 56-over par (920) in three days, including a 299 (+11) on Day Three.
