Charlottesville, VA -- The FDU Knights competed in the NCAA Division I Women's Tennis Championships for the fifth time in program history on Friday afternoon. The Knights fell 4-0 to the host #7 Virginia Cavaliers. It was the fifth time these programs met in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
The loss concludes a highly successful campaign for the Knights. NEC Coach of the Year
Alex Cole led the Knights to their first NEC Championship since 2016 in his first season in Teaneck.
The nationally ranked Cavaliers gave the Knights too much to handle at the Virginia Tennis Complex.
Valentina Silva did win her first set 6-4 before her match eventually went unfinished.
