Bridgewater, NJ -- 19 Northeast Conference (NEC) Cross Country/Track & Field student-athletes garnered Academic All-District honors, which were selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC) and announced on Tuesday, June 24.
Four different men’s and women’s NEC programs combined had athletes earn the honors, including Central Connecticut, Le Moyne, Saint Francis U and Stonehill. The Red Flash had the most selections on the men’s side with three, while the Skyhawk women boasted a league-best five. CCSU, SFU and Stonehill all had a combined six men’s and women’s athletes earn the distinction, which were a conference-best.

Allissa Hurd and junior
Marina Perry. Mellitt (men's cross country), Morabito (women's cross country) and Cancellieri (women's indoor track and field) all earned NEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors in their respective sports.
Morabito was the lone NEC student-athlete that was selected for advancement CSC Academic All-America® ballot. The All-NEC harrier and 2024 NEC individual cross country champion now advances to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced July 16.

Madison Gunderway were the Skyhawk women to get the nod.
Le Moyne was represented by redshirt junior
Matthew Frisa on the academic team.
The 2025 Academic All-District® Men’s and Women’s Cross Country/Track & Field teams, selected by CSC, recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the track, in the field, and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes men’s track& field honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
