Alexis Watson-Poole was named the NEC's Advisor in July, 2020.

Watson-Poole served as the NEC Events & Operations Assistant during the 2019-20 academic year in her second stint with the Conference, having served in a similar capacity during the 2017-18 academic year.

Watson-Poole accepted a position in the summer of 2020 as the Director of Academics & Student-Athlete Development at Mount St. Mary's University.

Watson-Poole graduated from the Mount In December, 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. She minored in French.

Following her initial stint at the NEC, Watson-Poole returned to the Mount as a Program Coordinator for Alumni Engagement during the 2018-19 academic year. During that time she helped identify, cultivate and solicit young alumni donors, developed young alumni events, oversaw the Maguire Foundation Scholarship Program, and provided academic advising and mentoring to students.

As an undergraduate at the Mount, Watson-Poole served as a Student-Athlete Development intern during her junior and senior years. Her responsibilities included the coordination of student-athlete service events and programs, providing assistance in facilitating study hall programs and SAAC meetings, and the management of SAAC social media accounts. Watson-Poole also spent three years working in the Office of Alumni Engagement, where she aided in the planning of major events such as Homecoming Weekend and Hall of Fame enshrinement, and worked to secure potential donors.

Watson-Poole gained further experience in 2017 as a Development Intern at Maryland Public Television. Her duties included writing and editing a bi-weekly newsletter, planning alumni events and aiding the production crew during live pledge dates.

Watson-Poole, who attended the Mount on a Presidential Scholarship, was a six-time member of the Dean's List.
