Kyle Turner enters his fifth year on the NEC staff. He was promoted to Assistant Commissioner for Digital Media on July 25, 2018. Turner had served as the NEC's Director Digital Media since June 11, 2014 and had previously worked with the NEC on a part-time basis dating back to November, 2013.
In his newly renamed position, Turner will continue to develop and implement digital strategies in an effort to increase the visibility and enhance the branding of the Conference. Most notably, he serves as the day-to-day contact for NEC Front Row, the league’s groundbreaking digital network. Turner creates original video content for Front Row, as well as the league’s television package and social media platforms. He also handles publicity for men’s soccer and men’s lacrosse.
Turner will develop and implement digital strategies in an effort to increase the visibility and enhance the branding of the Conference. Most notably, he will create original content for NEC Front Row, as well as the league’s television package and social media platforms.
Turner will also handle publicity for a number of NEC sports.
Turner comes to the NEC from fellow conference member LIU Brooklyn, where he spent the last two years as a Graduate Assistant in the media relations office. Serving as Video Coordinator, he produced live and on-demand LIU content for NEC Front Row.
He also spent the summer of 2013 working as a logger for Madison Square Garden Productions.
Turner previously served as an executive producer and on-air talent for Spartan Sports Weekly while an undergraduate at Castleton State College in Vermont. A 2012 graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication, he went on to earn his Master’s degree in Media Arts from LIU Brooklyn this past May.
