NEC MEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Andrew Morris, Fairleigh Dickinson

Morris turned in Fairleigh Dickinson’s best performances over the past two weeks, highlighted by a fourth place finish and a spot on the All-Tournament Team at the Cape Fear National Intercollegiate competition. Morris shot a 6-over 222 (77-71-74) to finish just two strokes off the pace. The freshman carded 71 in the second round, his best 18-hole showing of the season. Morris followed with an 18th place finish at the Towson Spring Invitational with a 5-over-par 149 (75-74) as the Knights took third in the 20-team field.

NEC WOMEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Mailen Domecq Chantry, Fairleigh Dickinson

Chantry comes off a pair of strong performances for Fairleigh Dickinson. She helped lead the Knights to a fourth place finish at the Cardinal Challenge, improving her score each round to finish +13, shooting 222 (78-76-72). Chantry followed her sixth place showing with another a fourth place finish at the Kingsmill Women’s Intercollegiate, where she carded a 6-over par 222 (74-75-73) to finish five strokes behind the leader.

NEC HEADLINES

Robert Morris freshman Max Palmer (Novi, MI/Detroit Catholic Central) tied for 12th at the Towson Spring Invitational. He shot a 4-over 148 (73-75). Palmer has a 74.07 stroke average for the year to go along with three top-10 finishes.

Sacred Heart senior Ellen Nighbor (Glen Ellyn, IL/Glenbard West), the reigning NEC Player of the Year, tied for tenth at the Kingsmill Women’s Intercollegiate. She shot a 9-over 225 (74-75-76) and recorded five birdies.

Saint Francis U junior Austin Renz (Danville, PA/Danville) shot the Red Flash’s low round at the Kingsmill Intercollegiate, firing an even-par 70 on the final day. He was one of three Red Flash players to card an eagle at the event and finishesd 29th overall.
