NEC MEN'S SOCCER PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Diego Arribas, Fairleigh Dickinson

Arribas scored two goals and added an assist in a 2-0 week for the Knights. On Friday night against No. 23 UConn, the junior forward curled a 35-yard free kick that was headed in by Adrian Barajas in the 28th minute to tie the game up at one apiece. Three minutes later, Arribas made a strong run and hammered home a volley to put FDU up 2-1 for the eventual victory over the Huskies. The Madrid, Spain native also converted a penalty kick in a 3-1 home win over Gonzaga on Sunday. Arribas now leads the NEC in goals (3) and points (7) this season.

NEC MEN'S SOCCER ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Felix Tonne, Saint Francis U

Tonne scored his first two career goals for the Red Flash in a 2-0 road win over Old Dominion on Sunday. The freshman forward broke the scoreless tie in the 55th minute off of an assist from teammate Kevin Smolyn. Just over six minutes later, the Kolbotn, Norway product scored his second goal of the game to give SFU some breathing room against one of the top sides in Conference USA.

NEC PRIME PERFORMERS

- St. Francis Brooklyn freshman goalkeeper Callum James (Swansea, Wales/Cwmtawe Community School) picked up his third consecutive clean sheet to start his collegiate career. James made a career-high six saves against Lafayette on Saturday.

- Mount St. Mary’s freshman midfielder Karamo Bah (Germantown, MD/Northwest) scored the game-winning goal in the Mountaineers’ 2-1 win over Bucknell on Friday.

- Bryant senior forward Alex DaCosta (Bristol, R.I./LaSalle Academy) assisted on all three of Bryant’s goals in a 3-2 win over Siena.

- Fairleigh Dickinson junior forward Diego Arribas (Madrid, Spain/Brains International School) assisted on the game-tying goal and scored what proved to be the game-winning goal at No. 23 UConn, then added a penalty kick goal in a 3-1 win over Gonzaga.

- Saint Francis U freshman forward Felix Tonne (Kolbotn, Norway) scored his first two goals of his collegiate career in a 2-0 win at Old Dominion.

FDU’s 2-1 win over No. 23 UConn is the third-straight win over a ranked opponent for the program. The Knights are 5-2-1 against ranked opponents in the last decade.
