NEC MEN'S TRACK ATHLETES OF THE WEEK
Jacob Ireland, Central Connecticut
Sr., Distance, East Hampton, CT/East Hampton
At the Wagner College Invite, Ireland finished in first in the 800 meters with a time of 1:56.72 and earned second place in the mile with a 4:10.68 mark. The senior distance runner’s 800m time is the best in the NEC and sits at 52nd among all NCAA Division I runners, while his mile mark is also first in the conference and comes in at 21st nationally.
NEC MEN'S FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Ryan Lane, Wagner
Sr., Jumps, Rochester, NH/Spaulding
Lane jumped 6.97 meters in the long jump to finish in first at the Wagner College Invitational. The senior jumper also claimed silver in the high jump after clearing a height of 1.96m. Lane’s long jump currently ranks third in the league and is tied for 79th nationally and his high jump height is the best in the NEC and sits at 93rd in the country. This is Lane’s second Field Athlete of the Week Award this indoor season.
NEC MEN'S ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Jack Mason, Wagner
Fr., Sprints/Jumps
Mason picked up where he left off in 2023, claiming his third Rookie of the Week honor of the indoor season. At the Wagner College Invitational, Mason earned first place in the triple jump with a distance of 13.73m, which is the second-best showing in the NEC this season only behind his previous jump of 14.37m. The freshman also finished tied for third in 60m in 7.05, which is 12th in the league. His triple jump distance is tied for 96th in the nation.
NEC WOMEN'S CO-TRACK ATHLETES OF THE WEEK
Ashley Dana, Central Connecticut
Sr., Distance, Durham, CT/Coginchaug
Dana clocked in the best 800m time at the Wagner College Invite, crossing the tape in 2:14.97 to post the fastest time in the event this season among all NEC runners. Dana’s time also ranks 16th among all NCAA Division I competitors. The senior was also a part of a 4x400m relay team that finished first at the Wagner College Invite with a time of 4:11.56. The relay time sits at third in the conference.
NEC WOMEN'S FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Faith Shaw, LIU
Sr., Throws, Westbury, NY/Westbury
At the Wagner College Invite, Shaw claimed gold in both the shot put and the weight throw. She posted a personal-best 12.10m in the shot, which ranks third in the NEC. Her distance in the weight throw was 14.72m, which is third in the league this indoor season.
NEC WOMEN'S ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Diamani Canuto, Sacred Heart
Fr., Sprints/Jumps, Leominster, MA/Leominster
Competing at the Army West Point Open last week, Canuto worked her way to a second place finish in the high jump with a height of 1.61m, which is a personal record. Her height is tied for third among all NEC jumpers. The freshman also posted a personal-best in the 60m, clocking in at 8.10.

Kymoy Philip, CCSU (So.)
Phillip won the 500m with a time of 1:06.51 at the Wagner College Invite. He was also a member of the 4x400m relay team that finished in first with a mark of 3:22.57. He has the best 500m time in the league, while CCSU's 4x400m team's time comes in at third.
Eddie Williams Jr., CCSU (Sr.)
Williams Jr. won the 60m hurdles at the Wagner College Invite, clocking in at 8.29, and claimed silver in the 200m with a 22.26 mark. The senior ranks third in the NEC in the 200m and 92nd nationally. His 60m hurdles time is also third in the conference.
Edward Tristine, SHU (Gr.)
At the Army West Point Open, Tristine won the mile in 8:32.25, which is seventh in the NEC. Tristine also ran a league-best and personal-best 3000m with a converted mark of 8:26.36. His 300m time is an IC4A automatic qualifier.

Jason Marchese, WC (Sr.)
Marchese won gold in the 200m at the Wagner College Invite with a time of 21.72, which is the best in the league and tied for 21st nationally. He also tied for third in the 60m with a time of 7.05. Marchese posted a 7.00 mark in the prelims, which is tied for eighth in the NEC.

Johnny Sokoll, WC (Jr.)
Sokoll placed third in the mile at the Wagner College Invite with a time of 4:11.06. Sokoll owns the second-best time in the conference while also ranking 22nd in NCAA Division I.

Brooke Morabito, CCSU (Sr.)
Morabito won the mile at the Wagner Colllege Invite in 4:52.20. Her time is second in the NEC and 30th nationally.
London Claxton, LIU (Sr.)
Claxton claimed first in the 500m with a time of 1:18.61 at the Wagner Colleger Invite. She ranks second in the league for the event.

Magdalena Brogioli, SHU (So.)
Brogioli won the 60m at the Army West Point Open with an ECAC/IC4a qualifying time of 7.77 and claimed second in the long jump with a personal-best of 5.42m. Her long jump is second in the league while her 60m time is fifth.
Ruth-Ann Chambers, WC (Jr.)
Chambers claimed gold in the 400m with a time of 59.27 at the Wagner College Invite. Her effort ranks second in the NEC.
Angelina Olah, WC (So.)
Olah ran to a fourth-place finish in the 800m at the Wagner College Invite, clocking in at 2:18.15. Olah is second in the league in the event and ranks 42nd among all DI runners.
