NEC MEN’S LACROSSE CO-PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Joe Saggese, Sacred Heart
R-Sr., A, Saint James, NY/Smithtown East (Drexel)

Saggese totaled seven points to lead the Pioneers to a win over Big East foe Providence.  The senior scored four goals and added three helpers in a 17-16 shootout.  With his team down 10-5 at halftime, Saggese played a role in the first four of SHU's five unanswered goals to tie the score at 10 in the third quarter.  He dished out a pair of assists less than 20 seconds apart to open up the second half, before finishing a pair that increased his goal total to four on the day. The Smithtown East product ranks No. 10 in average points per game (5.60) on the NCAA individual statistic rankings.  He also leads his team in both goals (16) and assists (12) this season.

Corson Kealey, Robert Morris
So., A, Ottawa, Ontario/Everest Academy

Kealey broke out with a career-high five goals in a double-OTthriller at nationally-ranked High Point.  The 2018 NEC All-Rookie selection scored his first to spark a RMU run that featured four unanswered goals as the Colonials jumped out to a 4-1 first-quarter lead.  Kealey ended the first half by notching his second career hat-trick on a highlight reel 30 yard buzzer beater to draw RMU within one, 9-8, at the break.  He then found the net for his fourth and fifth goals in the final frame that tied the score at 14-14 and 15-15, respectively.  The Ottawa native is now second on his team with nine goals this season.

NEC MEN’S LACROSSE DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Dylan Furnback, MSM
So., G, Jackson, NJ/Jackson Memorial

Furnback recorded 28 total saves and a .595 save percentage in a 1-1 week for the Mount.  He stopped 13 shots in a two-goal loss to No. 20 Georgetown before recording another 15 saves in a 12-6 win over VMI.  The Jackson Memorial, NJ product kept his team within striking distance with the Hoyas, denying five of the six shots he faced in the third quarter to keep the contest tied going into the fourth. The .714 save percentage in his win over the Keydets was the highest mark among NEC goalies for a single game.

NEC MEN’S LACROSSE ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Jason Knox, Hobart
Fr., A, Huntsville, Ontario/St. Andrew's

After earning Rookie honors two weeks ago with a conference-record nine goals against Siena, Knox earns his second award following a hat-trick in a win over Binghamton.  The St. Andrew's graduate scored the third goal of a four unanswered streak that gave the Statesmen a 4-3 advantage in the first quarter.  Hobart would not relinquish the lead from that point on, winning 16-7 as Knox added a pair of goals in the third quarter to help secure the victory.  The freshman increased his season total to 14, and currently leads the NEC with 3.50 goals per game.
