NEC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Olivia Machiavelli, Rider

Machiavelli found the back of the cage three times in a 2-0 week for the Broncs. The now four-time NEC Rookie of the Week scored twice in a 3-2 road win against Saint Francis U on Friday. Machiavelli put the ball in the goal in the third quarter to double the Rider lead. After the Red Flash evened the score, she netted the game-winner with under two minutes remaining. The Madrid, Spain native went on to notch her league-best 10th goal in the Broncs’ 3-1 non-conference victory at Hofstra on Sunday. Machiavelli’s 24 points this season ranks first in the NEC.

NEC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Saar van Dalen, Wagner
Fr., GK, Houten, Netherlands/Cals College Nieuwegein
Claiming her third NEC Defensive Player of the Week honor, van Dalen anchored the Wagner defense during the Seahawks’ 2-1 overtime win over Sacred Heart on Friday. The first-year goalie spent all 69 minutes in goal and made four stops in the 2023 NEC title game rematch. She made a key save in overtime that started the transition attack in Wagner’s game-winning goal. van Dalen posted a .800 save percentage in the win. Her 1.30 GAA on the year currently ranks second in the conference.

NEC ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

NEC PRIME PERFORMERS

Konni Hoffman, Jr., F (FAIR)
Scored twice and dished one assist in a 2-0 week for the Stags.

Emily Streib, 5th, GK (FAIR)
Recorded a solo shutout while making four saves in a 1-0 win at LIU and posted a combined shutout in a 8-0 victory against Merrimack.

Kiki Bruning, So., F (LIU)
Turned in the fourth hat trick of the season by an NEC competitor in LIU's 7-0 shutout at Mercyhurst.

Olivia Machiavelli, Fr., F (RID)
Named NEC Offensive Player of the Week and NEC Rookie of the Week. It marked her fourth Rookie of the Week honor.
 
Emma Brayford, Jr., B (SHU)
Found the back of the net twice and picked up an assist in a 1-1 week for the Pioneers. Made a defensive save in a 2-1 setback against Wagner.

Hannah Fawle, Gr., B (SHU)
Notched the game-winning goal in SHU's 3-2 win against Towson. Posted a defensive save against Wagner. 

Madison Waldspurger, Jr., D (SFU)
Posted a goal and dished out a pair of assists in a 1-1 week for the Red Flash.

Shannon Conte, Sr., GK (STO)
Made seven saves in a 2-0 week, including three stops in the Skyhawks' 2-0 shutout against Merrimack. 

Tia-May Harlos, Fr., B (STO)
Scored two goals in Stonehill's 6-3 victory over Queens (Charlotte). Harlos, a defender, proved key in limiting opponents' offensive opportunities in the Skyhawks' two wins over the weekend. Her two goals were the first of her career. 

Floortje Leunisse, So., F (WC)
Assisted on both of the Seahawks' scores in its triumph over Sacred Heart.

Romy Matthies, Fr., M (WC)
Netted the game-winning goal in Wagner's 2-1 overtime victory against SHU.

Saar van Dalen, Fr., GK (WC)
Garnered her third NEC Defensive Player of the Week accolade.
