NEC MEN’S SOCCER PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Dominick Falanga, St. Francis Brooklyn
Sr., M, Brooklyn, NY/New Utrecht

Falanga scored a natural hat trick in a span of 5:57 early in the second half of St. Francis Brooklyn’s 3-1 win over Robert Morris on Friday. Trailing 1-0 at the break, Falanga put the Terriers on the board when he collected a pass at the top of the box and sent a hard shot just inside the far post to tie the game. After running down a long ball, the senior then scored on a point blank shot in the 59th minute to give the Terriers a 2-1 lead. Falanga completed the hat trick in the 61st minute by bending a shot from 20 yards out into the upper-90. The Brooklyn, NY native currently leads the first place Terriers with five goals and 11 points on the year.

NEC MEN’S SOCCER ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Chris Gruver, St. Francis Brooklyn
Fr., F, Caracas, Venezuela/Sewanhaka

Gruver notched the game-winning assist in back-to-back victories for the first place Terriers, who are the NEC's last remaining unbeaten team with a 3-0-1 league record. The freshman sent Dominick Falanga a high-arching feed from behind midfield, leading to the game-winning goal in the second half of a 3-1 triumph over Robert Morris. Gruver also recorded the game-winning assist in SFBK’s 1-0 win over Saint Francis U on Sunday. The Caracas, Venezuela native beat a couple of defenders and sent a cross into the box, which was deposited into the back of the net by Ali Tounkara. The assists were the first two points of Gruver’s collegiate career.
