NEC MEN’S SOCCER PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Olajide tallied a pair of goals in a 2-0 week for the Terriers, including the game-winner with 2:24 remaining in double overtime in a 2-1 victory over Saint Peter’s on Wednesday evening. The senior, who also scored a game-winner in double-overtime last week, took a pass from junior Dominick Falanga and beat two defenders before scoring off of the far post from 15 yards out. Against Howard on Saturday, the Brooklyn, NY native scored in the 17th minute to give the Terriers a 2-0 lead en-route to a 3-0 victory over the Bison. Olajide is now tied for first in the league with two game-winning goals on the year.

Strain made three saves in SHU's 3-1 win over Holy Cross on Wednesday. The freshman then followed up with a career-high 10 stops against Stony Brook on Saturday, including a penalty kick save and four in double overtime to preserve a 1-1 tie for the Pioneers.
NEC HEADLINES
- In the September 19 NSCAA Division I Men Poll, Saint Francis U was ranked fifth with defending NEC champion LIU Brooklyn was ranked sixth in the northeast region.
- Saint Francis U got two goals in a 68 second span from Dominic Ramirez (Johnstown, PA/Westmont Hilltop) and Jack Webber (Bernville, PA/Tulpehocken) in the 3-0 victory over Bucknell on Wednesday.
- Conference play begins on October 7 with Robert Morris taking on Fairleigh Dickinson at 2pm, LIU Brooklyn heads to Bryant for a 3pm kickoff and St. Francis Brooklyn will kick off at 7pm against Sacred Heart.
