NEC MEN'S SOCCER PLAYER & ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
El Mahdi Youssoufi, St. Francis Brooklyn

Youssoufi scored three goals in two games for the Terriers, including two in a 4-2 win over CCSU on Friday. The sophomore scored a highlight reel goal in the 49th minute with a bicycle kick off of a cross from junior midfielder Ivan Tapuskovic. Youssoufi scored once more in the 85th minute with a header off of a feed from sophomore Khaled Abdella to record the first multi-goal game by a Terrier this season. The Tangier, Morocco native also scored the Terriers’ lone goal in a 2-1 setback to Saint Francis U on Sunday. He currently leads the NEC with five goals and his 10 points rank second on the circuit.


NEC PRIME PERFORMERS

- LIU senior defender Kyle Parish (Toowoomba, Australia/Feather River College) led the Sharks with three points on one goal and one assist, including the game-winner in a 3-2 overtime win against Saint Francis U.

- Saint Francis U junior midfielder Gabriel Castro (Belo Horizonte, Brazil/Lausanne Collegiate School) scored two goals including the game-winner in the 85th minute to lead SFU to a 2-1 win over St. Francis Brooklyn on Sunday.

- Merrimack senior forward Aasmund Joedahl (Ridabu, Norway/Hamar Katedraiskole) tallied five points on two goals and an assist in a 3-3 tie at Harvard.

- Fairleigh Dickinson junior goalkeeper Jahmali Waite (Philadelphia, PA/YSC Academy) earned his first shutout of the season, making five saves against Robert Morris.

- Robert Morris freshman netminder Mike Zolnierczyk (Springdale, PA/Springdale) recorded back-to-back cleans sheets for the Colonials, stopping all six shots that he faced.
