NEC MEN'S SOCCER CO-PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Eddie Yepes, Central Connecticut

Yepes tallied two goals, including the game-winner, in CCSU’s 3-2 overtime win at Sacred Heart on Sunday. The senior midfielder opened the scoring in the 26th minute off of a free kick, then added his second goal of the contest just 3:04 into overtime to give the Blue Devils a 3-2 win. Yepes ranks tied for third amongst NEC leader in total goals (8).
NEC MEN'S SOCCER CO-PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Diego Arribas, Fairleigh Dickinson
Jr., F, Madrid, Spain/Brains International School
Arribas notched three assists on FDU’s first three goals in a 5-0 win over Mount St. Mary’s on Sunday. In the 33rd minute, Arribas found teammate Ville Ahola for the first goal of the game. Just 5 minutes later, Arribas assisted on the second goal of the contest when he sent a cross over to teammate Adrian Barajas who lined a shot to the upper corner. Arribas added one more assist in the 71st minute, collecting a rebound and finding Jared Dillon for the third goal of the game. With the win, the Knights clinched the fourth and final spot in the NEC Tournament. Arribas is currently ranked tied for second in the NEC in total assists (5).
NEC MEN'S SOCCER ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Ville Ahola, Fairleigh Dickinson

Ahola scored two goals in FDU’s playoff clinching 5-0 win over Mount St. Mary’s on Sunday. The freshman forward opended the scoring in the 33rd minute, when he received a pass from teammate Diego Arribas and found the back of the net. Ahola would add another goal in the 72nd minute, firing a shot past a diving keeper. Ahola currently ranks third on the Knights in goals (2) and tied for second in total points (9).

- SHU sophomore forward Segundo Navarro (Alicante, Spain/IES Mare Nostrum) tallied three points on a goal and an assist against CCSU.
- CCSU senior midfielder Eddie Yepes (Medellin, Colombia/UMass Lowell) scored two goals including the game-winner in a 3-2 OT win over SHU on Sunday.
- Fairleigh Dickinson junior forward Diego Arribas (Madrid, Spain/Brains International School) assisted on FDU’s first three goals in a 5-0 win over Mount St. Mary’s on Sunday.
- Fairleigh Dickinson freshman forward Ville Ahola (Jarvenpaa, Finland/Jarvenpaan Lukio) scored a goal in each half of FDU’s 5-0 win over Mount St. Mary’s on Sunday.
AROUND THE NEC
- Merrimack won the NEC regular season title in its first season of division I competition with a 9-0 league record.
- Merrimack is currently ranked 8th (11-2-2) in the latest NCAA DI Men Northeast Region poll. Saint Francis U (10-5-0) is ranked 9th.
- With its 5-0 win over Mount St. Mary’s on Sunday, FDU clinched the final spot in the NEC Tournament.
